Your Crew

Your friendly professional skipper, Phil

The company Directors are Ms Nicole Inglis and Mr Phil Wiig, with Phil the qualified Skipper of the company vessel MV Shagga. As well as business partners Nicole and Phil are partners in real life and parents of five wonderful children; Aleisha, Brearna, Gregory Jorja and Alexis being the latest new deckhand.

Your friendly skipper is still serving with the Royal New Zealand Navy with over 24 years military service, including eight years Navy sea service, concurrent with the last 14 years fishing and diving experience on the Hauraki Gulf, and world wide whilst on Navy service duties.

Phil is committed to providing the very best personal, professional service for all services desired by his customers. Phil’s interests and experience include more than just fishing and diving, with local tour guide knowledge of the region, with camping and snorkeling guiding by arrangement.

Jorja Brook Wiig is the most keen of the AMAC crew, having been born 102042 Nov 05, with , a healthy 3.525kg (7lb12oz old school) daughter for the Skipper and his partner Nicole, sister to Aleisha, Brearna and Gregory.  A short fight had the daughter on the weigh station in 1h42 from initial hookup.  Mother and daughter doing extremely well, with the Skipper trying to stop perving at his new catch. Wetsuit, fins and new speargun for Jorja for Christmas!   Jorja has many great fish to her catch bag to date and when dad is working the boat, is generally not too far behind her dad.

But wait there's now more to come.  Alexis Jamie Wiig born 200140 Jun 07.  Yet another wee daughter for the family, with Alexis the last of the tribe.  As it is a new Stabi will have to be on the drawing board, to accommodate the increased family size.
